I had some queries about our water softener, which is rather old. Gavin, although very busy, found the time to call back within four hours and give helpful advice for me to resolve the issue myself. What a pleasant man to deal with! Gavin gave generously of his time, knowledge and experience when we had a problem with our existing water softener. He checked our machine and gave clear advice and costings, and explained why we didn't need to spend money, at least for the moment! We will certainly go back to him when we do need a new machine and I would recommend him to everyone.

We recently had a softener fitted by Thames Valley Water Softeners after putting up with the ravages of hard water for years. From the initial site visit, to fitting, it has been an absolute pleasure dealing with this company. There was no hard sell, Gavin who conducted the site visit was knowledgable and suggested a suitable machine. He arranged for the removal of an old system and making good the plumbing. Neil, their engineer fitted the machine. His work was completed to a high standard with no mess and very little disruption. They are passionate about their product, were able to answer all our questions and cannot be faulted for excellent customer service. I was so impressed and would not hesitate to recommend Thames Valley Water Softeners.

Gavin came out at the weekend at short notice to assess what we thought was a leaking water softener. On investigation this didn't turn out to be the case. However, Gavin helped find, isolate and resolve the leak. Gavin's professionalism, attitude and customer service were of the highest standard. I would highly recommend using this company.

I moved into a hard water area last year, I live in an apartment which is within a conversion of an old building and the water supply arrives in the middle of the apartment, within the airing cupboard. I was concerned that it might be difficult to fit a water softener, but Thames Valley Water Softeners have created space within the airing cupboard and done an excellent job of plumbing in the unit. It is now working very effectively. This is a family company, maintaining high standards of workmanship through skilled and employed staff. Congratulations to them.

I found Gavin through the Little Green Book and once again the reviews did not let me down. I wanted to replace a broken old water softener and Gavin was quick to respond even at the weekend. He visited to survey and advise on the following Tuesday and fitted the new one on Thursday morning. He was polite and helpful and clearly keen to do a good job. Highly recommended.

Gavin is very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. We decided to go with a reconditioned softener unit, it looked brand new and has been great. The plumber who came to fit it was also great. We installed a softener as our combi-boiler kept getting clogged up due to our hard water and an engineer was having to sort out about every six months. Our softener has been in for over a year now and no issues at all with our boiler (or shower pressure, which was also being affected by hard water). Also very handy to be able to get well priced salt blocks from them. Would definitely recommend.

I was replacing a 15 year old Kinetico water softener. I had several possibilities, not all with Thames Valley Water Softeners. The owner, Gavin, did a survey and discussed the alternatives with me in an honest and informative manner without pressuring me. Prior to this my initial questions by phone and email had been answered promptly and fully. Gavin is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I decided to buy a Twin Tec S3. The required pipework was already in place, but Gavin was meticulous and thorough in checking the new water softener was working correctly in the existing installation. Everything was left tidy. I have no hesitation in recommending Thames Valley Water Softeners. We received 5 star service in both pre sales and installation.

Gavin is very knowledgeable, patiently checks out the home and all its intricacies, explains water softeners in general teams and more specifically his machines. The end result was terrific, very quick install, and great water quality as a result. We should have installed one of these with TVWS ages ago. I would recommend the company to anyone.

Gavin is a really affable, genuine, knowledgeable person. He recommended the best softener based on our area and the number of occupants in the house. Installation was straight forward, and he was extremely flexible on appointments to suit us. He provided little 'value added' touches like testing the hardness of our water, a few months worth of salt blocks to get us started, and even disposed of our old one for us. Excellent. I much prefer dealing with local businesses rather than big chains, precisely because they offer a much more personal touch to the whole experience. The whole end-to-end experience with Thames Valley Water Softeners is outstanding, and we will be recommending them to all our friends and neighbours.
