After some questions Paul ordered a new part and he came round a couple of days later to fit the part and rest the boiler. Paul is a 'find'. We rang on Friday morning to say our boiler had blown up, he called in on his way home that afternoon, assessed the problem, ordered the parts and came and fitted them on Monday afternoon. Job done. Another plumber we called gave the diagnosis "you need a new boiler" whereas Paul saw which parts needed replacing and repaired a perfectly serviceable boiler.

We recently had our boiler replaced by Paul Howard, who is a very meticulous, reliable and trustworthy engineer. I was impressed by his professional, efficient, and friendly manner. Whilst changing the boiler he also fixed a problem on my old central heating system and replaced an existing joint on the gas supply pipe. All debris was taken away at the end of the job and the area cleaned. A good safe job done. Howard Heating and Plumbing has been my only port of call for heating and plumbing for the last seven years. I recently contacted Paul to investigate a hot water leak under the kitchen floor. Having dug out the concrete screed to expose the leak, he discovered that the cold water, hot water and central heating pipes were all bundled together and were not separated or sheathed at all so with expansion and contraction the hot water feed to the kitchen sink had perforated. He replaced all the pipework and properly sheathed all the pipes and all done to his usual high standard. This week he had carried out the annual service on our boiler which he fitted seven years ago and it continues to work perfectly. I highly recommend Paul Howard. Gives unbiased advice, does what he says he going to do and when the work will be carried out.

Paul was recommended to me by my sister who uses him for her gas servicing. On 31st May 2023 Paul Howard and his team replaced our 35 year old gas boiler with a latest Vaillant version, inside our garage, replacing the existing pipework configuration, boiler control panel and roomstat, plus added 6 radiator stats. I returned home from abroad to find my boiler had broken down and I had no heating or hot water. The temperature in my house was 8 degrees and my home emergency insurance cover said they could not come to me for three days. I found Paul's name in The Directory and rang him. He was marvellous. He sent me a WhatsApp video showing me how to fix the problem myself. I was very apprehensive about doing this but he was very patient and after exchanging a series of messages with accompanying photos I was successful. I cannot praise Paul highly enough. Our boiler packed in overnight just before the New Year w\end. More importantly we were due to go away leaving one of the kids at home. I rang Paul purely as his website mentioned being Brit Gas trained; we have inherited one of their boilers. After an initial examination of my boiler, it was agreed that the boiler needed replacing. The following week Paul arrived, again on time, and along with a colleague, replaced the boiler. These guys are highly recommended, I had a total boiler failure on 5/11 & studied the Vaillant boiler site on the following 2 days, from this site I found Howard Heating, Paul visited on 8/11 and submitted a detailed quotation on 9/11, reflecting my wishes. In October 2016 our central heating boiler had become inefficient so I asked Paul Howard to advise me and give me a quote for a replacement boiler and to move it from the bathroom to the loft. He was open about pro's and con's of repair to the original one and I trusted his advice to go for the more expensive option as correct in the long run. We were impressed from the off by Paul on giving us the quote (to replace an old system boiler). It was a thorough and professional inspection followed by a concise quotation stating what would be undertaken. All clear and transparent. They turned up as planned and did a terrific job. There's no point in going into details, but we had a complication with a boxed-in flu going under the ceiling across the kitchen that they handled it perfectly with no damage at all and did some great brick work outside around the new flu. Early last year we had a major problem with our boiler (it is getting on a bit) which Paul came and sorted. Also serviced and made safe a gas fire. He has since serviced said boiler once again and cured faults. He installed the 'Nest' for our central heating remote control, having to update and make safe some wiring. Towards the end of last year water was coming through the ceiling from our hot water tank - Paul called round on his day off to isolate and stop the flow of water into the leaking tank. Initially, he had to sort out a maze of incomprehensible wiring, not colour coded properly or connected to a standard wiring centre before he could complete the digistat installation. The work was carried out as I was told, and it was done while I was on holiday.  This is a new business.  I had a new boiler fitted and all new pipe work fitted in garage and in airing cupboard it all looks very tidy and heating and hot water working very well at moment.  The kitchen and garage was left tidy. Only had a small amount of painting to do as boiler and thermostat were different size to what I had fitted. Controls that are fitted are very easy to use. I was not on hand when fitted but he sent me photos as it went along. He come over as a nice man and work is to a high standard.
