He installed a new boiler, pump and system 5 years ago within a day of my old boiler system breaking down and only two days before Christmas. He has serviced the boiler for many years and has always arrived promptly and provided an excellent and efficient service. I would like to commend Geoff Gibson for the prompt and efficient way he dealt with us when we suddenly lost our hot water supply. (Not a boiler problem). He attended our property on the same day I reported the problem and correctly diagnosed what was wrong. He was able to locate the spare part, some distance away, picked it up and installed it just two days later on a Saturday morning. All is now working well. I had not dealt with Mr Gibson before but would have no hesitation in recommending him in future.

We had a problem with air in our system which affected the hot water. We called Geoff and he came over almost ? immediately. The reason wasn’t obvious but Geoff persevered and applying all his experience and knowledge he finally found the solution. Wow. I called Geoff, in a bit of a panic, as our ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump) had given up the ghost three days ago, and we (family of 5) had no hot water. To be honest he wasn't keen on the job initially as these are incredibly complex things and there is no luxury of being a 'new build' - this was a replacement, and of the hot water cylinder and compressor (big heavy bits) to boot. He was gracious enough though to come around and asses the work for himself, and agreed that 'in principle' the job could be done, by him, and soon. A day or two later the cylinder is in, working and I finally get to have a bath ("phew!" say the family!). I was very impressed with the care and attention to detail that Geoff possesses. He didn't just rush in and go all guns blazing - he carefully planned and phoned around colleagues and indeed the manufacturer for advice and support. He is likeable, careful, honest and hardworking. He is also open to ideas when things look difficult. A more pragmatic, sensible and value-for-money plumber you would be very hard to find, especially in this day and age. The only annoying thing is that, the better a review I give him, the less likely he is to be available next time - so shhhhhh, don't tell anybody ! :-)

I was exceedingly pleased with the service I have received this week from Gibson Heating. Unfortunately I had a leak in the system which was dripping from above through to my Kitchen. Not an easy thing to find. They always arrived when promised and followed up with text to see if all was going well. When they did complete the job, where they had had to have doors off, carpets and floor boards up when I went upstairs I was impressed that it had all been put back and was very tidy. Previously used for a boiler service and glad I used them again.

Geoff from Gibson Heating Services came out to deal with my Bosch Boiler which had stopped working. Obviously this is not a good situation in February. Not only did he come out quickly, even though this was my first time dealing with the company, but he was exactly what you'd want in a heating engineer. He was knowledgeable (30 years experience), reliable and trustworthy. This was not a straight forward problem and after checking a number of options he narrowed it down to a problem with the PCB. He rang Worcester Bosch and arranged for them to come out the next working day to cover it on the guarantee. Brilliant service and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Geoff Gibson was found on the Which website who have their own standards of reviews etc. He was very conscientious and fixed the leaks we had on two boilers. Above all he gave advice about maintaining the gas pressure and the water tank, explaining aspects of maintenance that l did not know about. Very useful in a new house. He does create a sense of confidence, both in his work and your ability to easily change the pressure yourself on the boiler etc to prevent unnecessary problems/call outs. A perfect service. Explanations were given about how the systems work. He is very respectful and reliable. I am very impressed with the time and care he took over the work completed.

Like so many other reviewers here, Geoff bailed us out in an emergency when we had a leak that could have become so much worse and done so much more damage. He arrived exactly when he said he would - to much relief - and persisted with fixing the pipe even though it was extremely difficult. A leaking pipe in the very corner of the loft, obscured by other pipes - an almost impossible place to get to. Yet Geoff patiently thought his way around the problem, and was unfailingly considerate in trying to cause as little damage to our home as possible when trying to access the pipe, and in making sure we had at least a supply of drinking water overnight when he couldn't fix the whole complicated problem in one day. I genuinely don't know where we would be now if we hadn't found this company! Wholeheartedly recommend - and, Geoff, I really am putting you on speed dial.

To our absolute horror my family came home to find half our kitchen ceiling on the floor following a leak from our hot water cylinder. An extremely stressful night and day followed making numerous calls and plenty of other plumbers were not prepared to come out to us to even provide a quote when we needed them urgently with water still leaking into our kitchen. Geoff could not have been more different, he was out to inspect the problem within a few hours of my call. We've used Gibson Heating in the past for a boiler service and been impressed. It's often hard to find many these days but in my opinion Geoff is a very honest, experienced and knowledgeable professional tradesman. He provided a fair and competitive quote for the work within an hour of his visit and due to our predicament offered to prioritise our urgent job and was able to drop onto us the next day. He said he'd be around at 8:30am the next day to start. It was such a relief. True to his word at 07:55 the very next day we had his colleague arrive with a new hot water cylinder on the door step and Geoff and his colleague were straight to work immediately at 08:15am. Our job was a particularly awkward one due to tight confined space to work but Geoff and his colleague worked hard all day even putting right some of the previous bodge job pipe work that the previous occupants had done. I found Geoff friendly and knowledgeable and willing to go that bit extra to make sure everything was done properly. I also liked the way he took the time to explain to me how things worked and gave some tips and advice. Invoice was as per his quote to us. No hesitation in recommending them to others and we will use again if we ever need a plumber.

Gibson Heating have been working on our boiler for 10 years or so after installing it. They are always reliable and come round as soon as possible and more importantly always fix the problem. Talking from experience of rogue traders these guys are as far from that as possible. Extremely good for people concerned about trusting companies. Geoff Gibson and his team were fantastic in quickly attending an emergency plumbing situation when the pipe above our stopcock cracked and started to leak out water. Keiran was quick to come out and immediately identified what the issue was. This was not a straightforward job given the age of the plumbing and the corrosion that was evident in the stopcock, but Keiran persisted and after some hard work in hot weather his efforts resulted in resolving what had been a nightmare situation for only a few hours earlier. The work carried out was tidy and professional and Keiran was incredibly cheery and reassuring. I also felt that given the short notice they had been given they were extremely competitive in pricing the job. We used Gibson Heating Services Ltd on 04/02/19 as we were experiencing problems with our central heating. Having called them on Sunday morning an experienced heating engineers arrived to assess the problem we were having. He arrived within 15 minutes which was a relief as being without heating with snow still on the ground was not great. We arranged with the engineer that he would return to fix the heating at 8.30am the following day, which he did. Additionally he explained how to balance the heating. I cannot recommend Gibson Heating Services highly enough. A national gas service provider recently visited our property to give our boiler a service, told us that an extractor fan was sited too close to it, switched our gas supply off despite our protestations, and told us that their company would only come back to switch it back on only once we had removed the fan. We removed it within 2 hours, called the service provider back and asked them to switch our gas back on. They told us we would have to wait for a week or more without heating or hot water. At that point, we called Gibson Heating Services. Geoff himself came out within an hour, determined that the appliance was now safe, switched it back on and gave us expert advice. I was hugely impressed by Geoff's responsiveness, customer service and expertise and we will definitely be using Gibson Heating Services in the future. Thanks again Geoff!

I thoroughly recommend these guys. I had a problem with my heating and hot water barely getting lukewarm in early January. I called in the morning, and they came round to assess the problem by 12, then got someone in to replace the pump and it was all fixed in the same afternoon. I called Jeff to discuss a problem that I have with a bath that I had installed a few years ago. The taps are in the centre and against the wall which means that the bath has to be removed to fit new taps (that have become damaged due to hard water). He gave me honest advice that he would not recommend this type of bath due to problems that can arise in the future. I greatly appreciated his time and honesty. He showed a genuine interest in helping me.

Gibson Heating Services have rescued us from a cold house in January and we are very grateful. Phil Armstrong has regularly serviced our boiler and helped us with other plumbing and heating issues for several years. On a cold Friday afternoon in January, our boiler decided that it had had enough and stopped working! Not a good situation. We rang Gibson Heating Services and Phil came over at the end of a long day to take a look and give us options. Despite bringing bad news (boiler needed replacing!), Phil and Geoff have very quickly been able to get and install a new boiler for us by Tuesday evening. We are so pleased to have a warm house again, but are also delighted with the professional and friendly service that Gibson Heating Services have continued to provide. We would highly recommend them.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this company - we returned from a two week vacation to find that our central heating boiler had packed up and that we had a leak. We have, or I should say had a British Gas Home Care product so we contacted them and an engineer attended our apartment. For reasons I won't go into he wasn't able to make the necessary repair so we were left without heating for several days - out of frustration I decided to call Gibson Heating Services and what a difference in approach. Within 2 hours of contacting them Phil was in attendance and within an hour had fixed the problem!
