My Dad has limited mobility but needed to get his ears cleared of blockages for a hearing test and new hearing aids. Lucinda came out to my parents’ home and with her NHS experience identified an infection in both ears, which prevented her from carrying out the extraction. She contacted my Dad’s GP directly to suggest antibiotics, which the doctor prescribed. Lucinda returned after a few weeks free of charge to check if the antibiotics had worked, but found a persistent problem, so she again contacted the GP to advise on further treatment. The infection subsequently cleared and the audiologist was able to carry out a hearing test and take moulds for new hearing aids. Lucinda’s professional NHS experience and proactive approach enabled her to diagnose and take appropriate action on Dad’s condition in a way that other wax removal providers may have lacked suitable qualifications and experience. I would unreservedly recommend Lucinda.

We would like to thank and recommend Lucinda for ear wax removal (just one of her many talents). Lucinda is a very kind, gentle, punctual and funny lady. My Nan who is 101 (soon to be 102) who has terrible trouble with very narrow ear tubes, and was born deaf in one ear, so its vital that she can hear through her only means. She does have suction at the hospital usually once every 3-4 months, but can quite often get into trouble in between these dates. Lucinda is always out first port of call and cannot speak highly of her. Please do not hesitate to use her services. On another level she came out to see my son who is Autistic and 22, so big now, who had blocked ears. She was gentle, explained simply (which is what he needs) what she was going to do. Gave him little breaks, let him see the camera so he could see also what was in his ear.

Excellent personal service. Lucinda visited me at home and successfully removed wax from both ears, showing me pictures before and after.

Realising that I had wax blocking one of my ears and not being able to get an appointment with the Practice Nurse at my Surgery for several weeks, I left a telephone for Lucinda and promptly had a reply from her.
She made a home appointment to fit around my husband, who was in pre operation self isolation at the time, going for his Covid test. She arrived well on time and I was very confident with her Covid precautions. We sat next to my opened back door while she checked both ears and, in fact, after careful examination, removed wax from both ears.
This was a big help to me, as 10 days later, I had major eye surgery under local anaesthetic so had to have one hearing aid out for it and rely on the other ear to hear what was being said to me.
I have no hesitation in recommending Lucinda for her professionalism and pleasant manner.

The Services provided to me were at my home and by appointment. The cost of the hearing services provided are clear and transparent.
The first visit was for the assessment of my ears and the subsequent removal of ear wax from both of my ears using micro-suction.
My second home appointment was a week or so later and was for a full hearing test of both ears which included the provision of a detailed hard copy, NHS ready report of my Hearing Check Results. I also have tinnitus and Lucinda was able to give some constructive information and guidance as to how I might deal with this in the future.
I can confirm that Lucinda demonstrates a timely and professional approach to her patients, providing clear, concise guidance and advice on my hearing and helped me understand my future hearing options.
Should I have need for any future hearing assistance I wont hesitate to contact Lucinda for her professional help and support.

I recently lost hearing due, I believed, to a build-up of wax etc. Following 10 days of applying drops to the ear my hearing was no better and the discomfort (ie ringing and whooshing in the ear) was becoming unbearable. Desperate for immediate relief, rather than going through my GP, I contacted Lucinda, having previously noticed her advertisement in my local village magazine and which stated she was an NHS qualified audiologist with 20 years experience.
Having left a message on Lucinda’s voice mail at 6pm on a Friday evening, she promptly returned the call. We discussed the problems I was experiencing and options available together with fee structure. Lucinda explained she was unavailable in the coming week, however could make an 8am appointment at my home the following day (Saturday) ahead of her patient list.
Lucinda arrived on time, in atrocious weather whilst taking all due care with regards to PPE and social distancing. Following an examination, she explained the problem within my ear backed up by a visual image. With micro-suction and in a highly professional manner, Lucinda then proceeded to remedy my ailment. Within a short time frame and without pain or discomfort, hearing was restored - it was bliss !
Lucinda is a highly personable individual. Sympathetic and easy to talk to and whose professionalism, integrity and work ethic was without question. I would have no doubts in recommending her service.

I am very pleased with the service which Lucinda Ellis provides.
She came to my house and cleaned wax from both my ears. As a result I was able to hear again in one ear and much better in the other.
I was so pleased that I asked Lucinda to do the same for my 95 year old mother.
