Used Buildform Services for a full porch roof replacement earlier this year. Paul was on site from late February through to mid-March 2026 and the job was completed to a very good standard. The finished work is neat and solid, it was done properly and I'm happy with the result. Paul was easy to deal with day-to-day. He listened when I had requests, responded without any hassle, and kept things moving along at a reasonable pace. He also took it upon himself to fix some loose tiles on the front of the house that had nothing to do with the porch, a small thing, but it showed he was caring for the job as a whole. Happy to recommend Paul to anyone looking for roofing work.

After many attempts to clear up previous problems created by rogue traders and previous roofers over the years I employed Buildform roofing to install a new garage roof and a new warm deck flat Rubber Roof for me on my rear extension which included new facias, new gutters and new plywood warm deck with insulation I was happy with the work and will be using again to re tile my main roof.

We asked Paul to replace flat roofs on our garage, passageway, kitchen extension and conservatory, each with specific structural requirements. Paul discussed with us what needed to be done and gave us advice and choice; he explained constraints, durability and costs and we did not hesitate to accept his services. Paul worked adeptly and systematically making sure that the tasks were completed to a very high standard. When he discovered problems, he showed us evidence and explained possible courses of action. He rebuilt damaged walls, replaced corroded plumbing pipes, rotten wood beams and guttering. Paul did several other jobs for us including the renovation of the conservatory floor and walls, all of which are very well finished. Paul has a wealth of knowledge, excellent building and restoration skills and a high work ethic. He is trustworthy, reliable and we enjoyed his cheerful company every day he turned up to do the work. Many thanks Paul. We are very happy.

Having recently moved into a Victorian terrace, I contacted Paul initially for some advice on plastering and bits and pieces flagged in my survey as his profile said he specialises in older properties. He's done a few jobs for me since, some repair works to the stairs and installing sound proofing in my lounge/dining room due to a noisy neighbour. He has a good eye for detail, very thorough and has done a great job, gives good advice on any questions I have, and is very easy to get along with. Hopefully he'll be back over the summer to do re-pointing works that need doing on the outside walls.

I am delighted with the work Paul has done. Having been let down by another roofer I contacted Paul with only 2 weeks to go before Christmas. He came round the next day to have a look at the leaking roof. Within 5 days he had the scaffolding up and was fixing the problem. He took a video to show me exactly what the problem was (extensive squirrel damage to chimney flashing and roofing felt) and what needed to be done. When he had finished he showed me the repair in detail - a quality job with extra-thick materials to make it more squirrel proof. Paul is a really nice person who was always on time and worked very hard despite the weather. He is clearly a very experienced roofing professional.

Paul Davey has done excellent work on repointing some of the brickwork on original walls of old cottage. Firstly some emergency work attending when wet was getting to the inside of house and this spring coming to continue on other areas. Very professional and always explaining what was happening. Took good care of planting close to walls and general surroundings. Also some preventive work on a flat roof and replacing a few roof tiles. Have other work lined up for him regarding a very long standing damp problem indoors. So glad to have found such a reliable tradesman with such knowledge and experience of old properties.

Paul Davey of Buildform has now done two extensive repairs on our property. The first was rectification of previous work that had been poorly carried out by a different tradesman. The second was extensive repairs to gutters, valleys, gable-end verges and chimney flashing. Paul has done a quality job each time, and the roof has since held up perfectly and remained fully watertight in severe weather. Paul has given full quotations and has always advised on options to keep costs within budget, without compromising on quality. If there were any variations to the original quote, these were fully and clearly costed and explained beforehand with photographic evidence or visual demonstration. I have found Paul to be extremely trustworthy, reliable and his work to be of high quality. I would definitely use his services again, and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Excellent piece of remedial work carried out on roof. Previous contractor had not fixed any tiles contrary to recommendations of roof tile manufacturer. Several other issues were found and remedied along with guttering improvements. Paul gave links to manufacturer's website and provided copious details explaining what needed to be done and why. The demonstration when he lifted one tile up and the whole roof moved as if a sheet was very persuasive! I have no hesitation in recommending Paul for the work he carried out.

I used Paul at Buildform to cure an old ongoing damp/dry rot problem at my property. After 3 years of painting over walls and struggling with wet and damp floors everything is cured now with new plastering, tanking and a damp proof course. Paul also installed vented bricks under the floor space. Very good job would certainly use again.

Paul carried out significant repairs to an old Victorian wall which was in danger of collapsing but a feature of the property. He partially rebuilt the wall in keeping with the original style and character of the house but making it safe. He even uncovered some hidden wrought iron railings and brought them back to life! Paul's expertise and workmanship was excellent and his experience and skill with period properties ensured a great job. I've used Paul a number of times over the last 6 years and would recommend his workmanship and customer service to anyone.
