El Cerdo
El Cerdo is Spanish for The Pig in case you didn't know. Centrally located in the vibrant Waterside Quarter, this buzzy place opened in 2023 and has a very Spanish look and feel to it, with patterned floor and wall tiles. Then there is the food with most imported from Spain, some from artisanal producers, so no lack of authenticity here. You'll probably have to book (do this online) as the word has spread far and wide. Do try any of the various spins on the acorn-fed Iberian pork and ham, some straight from the charcoal oven, and there's an all-Spanish wine list. There's a sister restaurant overlooking the Thames at Bourne End Marina, so you are well served for that Spanish fix with echoes of those happy times in sunny Spain.

Since the moment we arrived we were greeted by Sina and their team in a very warm manner!
I’m an actually a spanish chef in the area having diner with one of my chef friends and we both were blown away with the flavours, authenticity and the modern style of their tapas! We had an array of tapas, my highlight was the lazy tortilla and of course the croquettes! But their Pluma, Pollo and lamb were just sublime! You can feel the the smoky charcoal flavor from their Josper oven, just like in the best places in Spain! Thanks Luis, Sina and the team for a great diner and a fantastic night with my friend! -
Wow wow wow! Excellent service, food and ambiance in this vibrant canal-side restaurant / bar. I tried skate wing, one of the daily specials, for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. Rest of table enjoyed a meaty feast. Highlight of experience was that the staff seemed happy, were knowledgeable about the menu (food and drink) and attentive. We were made to feel special, even on a busy Friday night. Shout out to all staff and especially manager Matt with his cocktail recommendations. A night to remember. Highly recommend - we were four adults, two generations.

I have been meaning to go here for a while and finally got around to it this evening. The food was excellent and so was the service, from a very nice and efficient young lady. I went for the early dinner menu which did not disappoint. I am looking forward to going back to try other items on both menus. I was also impressed with the house white wine, very nice. I sat outside and had a very pleasant evening.
