Alan contacted me promptly after I made an enquiry. I then sent photos of the problem with our WC. He then gave a time and texted ahead to inform of his arrival. He arrived with al the replacement parts and promptly fixed the problem being very polite throughout.

Contacted Alan to replace some shut off valves that were faulty. As a returning customer, I was confident that Alan would do a great job for an honest price. He carried out a range of jobs for my elderly mum, including fixing her toilet flush mechanism, crawling into the loft space to reset an overflow pipe, renewing a leaky garden tap, and fitting a new ceramic kitchen sink. Alan even went the extra mile and rehung her kitchen cabinet door - my mum was very chuffed indeed! We have just used Alan for fitting a shower tray and fixing the shower itself, while we had other work done. He was brought in by the builder, and we have been delighted with the work he has done. Alan rescued me by completing a cistern flush valve replacement I thought I could do myself...he knew exactly what parts were needed, had them on his van, and finished the work in little over thirty minutes. I could not rate Alan highly enough, any new trade always comes with a little bit of concern, with regards to quality of job, reliability and professionalism. 

Alan delivers on all these areas, from taking his shoes off on entry to your home, he is an extremely genuine person who communicate s throughout the entire process and also provides a concise breakdown of his work.

Alan has completed investigation works for us when we had no water, has installed new shower pumps and also installed radiators for us. 

Personally I enjoy Alan’s conversation from his travels around the world to his knowledge about our plumbing system which is a very old house.

If I need a plumber, I always contact Alan Myers who I know to be reliable and conscientious providing excellent work which is always completed to a high standard.

He has replaced a WC Grohe duo flush siphon unit, installed replacement mixer tap units, installed a replacement clamp bracket for a Mira shower hose, replaced seized water mains taps with easily operated lever valve taps and re-sealed a shower enclosure for us.

We have known and employed Alan now for perhaps more than 20 years.  

In that time he has taken care of all of our plumbing issues (new bathrooms, shower fittings, toilets, taps replacement, dripping taps, central heating system, tank and radiator replacements and/or exchanges, some tiling requirements, etc.) and we have always found the standard of his work and his professionalism to be first class.

Alan is generally very good at attending at the first available opportunity when there is an urgent problem.  He is regularly on time but should he become caught up with another job and be running late, he will always contact us by mobile phone and let us know.

I am very much a layman when it comes to plumbing and so I always rely on Alan for the best advice.  He will tell me what is possible, what is worth doing, what is not, how much it is all likely to cost and he always makes every effort to save us unnecessary expenditure.  Alan will tell you how it is and he never creates extra work for the sake of it. 

Many years ago, when we were faced with a problem, he asked me what I wanted to do, so I said to him......."Just imagine it was yours - what would you do, which decision would you take, which route would you follow.......?  Please just do that."  This is the policy that he has regularly followed with us and I have to say I think it is the only way.

In short, Alan would gain my strongest recommendation.

Alan Myers has done a few plumbing jobs for us and we will certainly keep on using him should any further work need doing. Alan is not only reliable but extremely knowledgeable about all thing plumbing and now water softeners. His last job for us was to install a power shower in our bathroom that required a hot water feed to be put in. The job was completed in a few hours and we were really pleased with the results and the cost. Alan is happy to "just get on with the job" but is always willing to chat, if you want, or explain what and why he is doing something. He is also very tidy and will make good any holes he needs to make as well as clearing up when he is finished. We highly recommend him.

We have used Alan Myers of A F Myers Plumbing for many years for a range of work; replacing a hot water cylinder, fitting new radiator, fitting new outside taps and various other jobs. We are currently discussing with Alan regarding installation of a water softener system.

Alan is reliable, considerate, fast and the quality of his work is high. We live in a period, listed building and he is able to take that into account in carrying out his work.  We would highly recommend him.
