We had been suffering an intermittent fault on our 30-year old Hormann sectional door for some weeks and finally decided that we ought to get it repaired. We contacted ABR Garage Doors and one other company by email; ABR replied almost immediately and still no reply from the other company. We arranged a convenient time for an inspection and Stu came out, decided what the problem was and fixed it on the spot; all the required parts were with him including the motor unit. Excellent service.

My SWS automatic door started misbehaving, so I contacted the manufacturer who quoted me a very large amount to replace the electric motor. It was well beyond my budget. I found ABR Garage Doors in the LGB. They came round and diagnosed that the problem was in fact the control unit, and replaced it at a more wallet friendly rate. Happy customer.

High Wycombe. I realised that had a problem with my garage door Sunday middle-of-the-day. ABR diagnosed the problem within an hour or two and by Monday evening the problem was fixed.

Just before Christmas, the electric roller shutters on our garage failed completely with two slats falling out altogether. We already knew by now that the original installers were total rip off merchants whose warranty was not worth the paper it was written on. As a result,I contacted ABR as they had received good reviews in my local area. Stuart visited the same day and without my saying a word, identified the existing installation as the work of the wastrels. He advised me that he would not be able to repair the door and discussed options with me ... no hard sell, no take it or leave it .. just a very knowledgeable and polite man who understood that paying out for a new door just before Christmas was not the best news. After considering Stuart's advice, we decided to revert to a mechanical up and over door and placed an order with ABR. Stuart came back to the site to double check the measurements and told us that all being well, they could install the door on the 10th Jan. True to his word, the door - which only arrived ON the 10th Jan - was collected by his fitters and was installed by lunchtime the same day.The fitters were thoroughly professional and cleared everything away including the removal of the old roller doors. Given it was tipping down with rain, I was very pleased with their efforts. This whole experience has been a pleasure (notwithstanding that I would have preferred not to have had to replace the previous doors in the first place as it decimated the savings I had hoped to use to buy a new telly lol!) and I cannot recommend Stuart and ABR High Wycombe highly enough. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others who need repairs or replacements for their garage doors. Thanks very much to ABR.

Our garage roller door suddenly stopped functioning and the original installer could only give us a repair appoint for 3 week later! We contacted Stuart at ABR. He came around that day to assess the problem, which he duly did - motor u/s. 5 days later his 2 man team of fitter replaced the motor and we are no longer having to manually wind the roller door up and down. Terrific service - quick, efficient and hassle free. Thanks you guys. Great job.

Bracket supporting up and over door broke Monday morning. Having seen all the good reviews on this website I left a message with Ken Budd. He rang back within 30 minutes and advised that he thought the door would be repairable and that Stuart would be in the area Tuesday morning and could drop by. He did, had a quick look, said he could fix it, and within 2 hours had refitted the supports on both sides of the door. It now opens & closes way better than it has for 20 years, just 24 hours after it broke. Thank you Stuart & Ken!

Old roll over door broke two weeks ago - contacted Ken Budd on Monday 20th June 2022 - he came over on the day and after discussion we agreed a replacement was necessary based on practical advice and a quote formulated on the spot. The new door was installed today, 27th June (a week later). Both Workmen and Workmanship were of the highest order and the finished article looks first class!! Ten out of ten for my wife and myself.

About 5 years ago ABR fitted my new electric garage door that has been great but I recently experienced an intermittent problem, I phoned on Monday and was told I would receive a visit Tuesday morning.They called in the morning with a time of my visit and arrived on time and within an hour the problem was sorted out.This was part of their after sales service no big bill, this is a fantastic company to deal with and I do not hesitate in recommending them if you are looking to replace you garage door.

Ken came round quickly to look at a malfunctioning rollover door, even though it was another company which had installed it. It took him a little time to determine the problem, but then fixed it and waived the call-out charge. Thoroughly recommended.

Our Birkdale roller shutter garage door decided to try and self-destruct on Christmas Day with all four autolock brackets breaking and a tube end cap mysteriously separating from the tube. Birkdale are located in Scunthorpe and advised contacting a local garage door company. Stuart at ABR was recommended to me via an industry contact and I spoke to him at 10.30 on 4th Jan. He was on site within the hour and before 1pm had replaced the parts, fixed the other problems and set everything up working correctly. Had our new sectional garage door fitted today and really pleased with the result. Being able to specify an exact colour match enhances the look. Ken visited promptly and proposed a RollMatic OD door. His ethos is to treat people as he would wish to be treated himself and to get everything right first time. Stuart and Tom, his fitters, were experienced, skilful and hardworking and seemed unfazed by any snags that arose, like skew-whiff walls! The door and mechanism inside the garage are all beautifully finished and the end result looks great and works superbly. Overall, an excellent team effort and I would recommend ABR Garage Doors and this product without hesitation.

Ken got back to me within one business day, answering all of my questions about options -ultimately recommending a repair over replacement based on the age, make, and quality of my existing door. In addition when, a few months later, the door was wrenched off track by a being forced open manually they returned promptly, realigned the door and did this for no charge. I've just had a new garage door fitted by this company and must say I am very pleased with both the service and the door fitted. Stuart and Bernard arrived on time as arranged and immediately got on with the replacement. They answered any questions I had and explained everything thoroughly. They really were excellent workers and they cleared up so well after the work. It was a delight to have them here. They are dedicated workers ensuring that the job was done well. Apart from the smart, bright sparkling white garage door you wouldn't have known that I'd had any work done. From the ordering of the doors to the completion, despite present COVID conditions everything was spot on.

Ken and his team fitted a Hormann Supramatic motor to our double garage door which has made life much easier! My husband is disabled and so needed help to open the heavy garage door. Now he can be completely independent. The team were very efficient and tidy and at no extra cost moved my daughter's pull up bar which was fixed to the garage beams! Had a Hormann SupraMatic E4 fitted earlier today. Excellent service from answering phone calls/emails even over the bank holiday. Ordered and fitted within 3 working days and took 75 minutes to install. Certainly it is wonderful to press a button and double garage door opens/closes without having to exercise arm muscles!

ABR Garage Doors very recently replaced my old up and over remote garage door ( which was also supplied and installed by Ken Budd) with an Aluroll compact remote controlled door. I've just had my garage door replaced by this company, and can recommend them without hesitation. I rang and got a telephone quote, 2 days later Ken came and checked measurements and confirmed the quote in writing, then a few days later two installers arrived to complete the job. They were quick, efficient and removed the old one and surround. 'Simples'!! It's so unusual to have such reliable contractors, and I'm so pleased I chose ABR. I called your Bracknell office this afternoon when my garage door jammed open. In little more than an hour, an engineer had turned up and within a short time my door was fixed. I didn’t ask his name (has a beard) but thank you so much for a brilliantly fast service. I am very grateful as I was very worried about having to leave it open for any length of time. I use the garage constantly so it is a huge relief to have it mended and to have found a company which gives such excellent service.

He had to get hold of parts for an older version but tracked them down and once we had a fix date he was on the case and got it sorted. ABR Garage Doors are a small business that you can rely on and I have no issues in recommending them. From initial quoting to garage door fitting, Ken has been really friendly and helpful and kept us informed. That was a few months ago. We had a garage door fitted at the end of October 2015, which worked perfectly until recently. It wasn't closing properly. We cannot fault this company they came out the day after we called them adjusted the door at no charge. Fault was due to someone manoeuvring their vehicle and rolling into our garage door. Ken fitted my automatic garage door 7 years ago. It has worked beautifully and I wouldn't be without it. Last week it started squeaking and sticking so I gave Ken a call on Wednesday of this week and he was able to make me an appointment for today Friday. He phoned this morning to say he would be early if that was OK. This is the first time I have such prompt service from a business and with someone who then not only arrives on the right day but early! It proved to be a simple job for Ken which he completed in a quick, friendly and professional manner assuring me that all was good but to call him at any time in the future should I need to. I found ABR Garage doors in The Directory and contacted Mr Budd as my old garage door had 'died'. From first to last his contact/communication has been helpful and pleasant. Although it was over Christmas and New Year he came and quoted and expedited the order speedily. He gave full and relevant information (including video of the products) and listened to my particular requirements. The installation was done well with a very pleasant team, and Mr Budd followed this up on 2 occasions to do a couple of 'tweaks' I needed. ABR have replaced my old "up and over" door with a SeceuroGlide remote controlled electric roller shutter door. The result is stunning. I added some warm white LED's above and with the great job from ABR my house stands out from the rest. The door itself is a doddle to operate with a key fob and includes a courtesy light inside the garage. The fitters are polite and considerate in their work. Just feed tea and cake! I genuinely recommend ABR.

I had been looking to replace my rotting wooden garage doors for quite a while, but it can be hard to find recommendations for local independent companies; I don't like to use large nationals unless there is no alternative. I came across ABR Garage Doors via an online search and made contact. Ken was friendly and knowledgeable from the start. He was able to give me a rough estimate of costs prior to coming out to survey the garage. The survey was painless and I was given advice and a no-nonsense quote at the end of it. I opted to use ABR Garage Doors and within a couple of weeks Ken and his assistant came to fit the door. They arrived on time and did a very professional job of removing the old doors, fitting the new one and clearing up. The finish was better than I had anticipated could be achieved. I was shown how to operate the door and informed that if anything needed to be adjusted at any time to let them know and they'd come and do it. They also kindly drilled holes for a floor anchor I had purchased elsewhere. Great service and great price. I'd be happy to recommend ABR Garage Doors if you are looking to replace or upgrade.

ABR fitted two Hermann Miller sectional garage doors at the weekend replacing our old up-and-over doors. We are delighted with the new doors which look very smart and operate smoothly and quietly. We had excellent service from ABR right from the start. It took just under 3 weeks from placing the order with them to the doors being fitted and was entirely hassle-free. The two fitters arrived promptly and worked solidly from 9.30 am to after 6 pm in poor weather conditions. We cannot fault the service or the product and are happy to recommend them. It has now inspired me to clear out the garage!
