My Mother-In-Law has been resident at Meadowbank for a period of about 3.5 years.
Since Andrew took over ownership the home has become a more pleasant environment for residents and the areas of the building made as pleasant and comfortable as possible for residents. The staff are very attentive, caring and professional and with smiles on their faces albeit sometimes I would imagine in most trying circumstances. The catering appears to be of a good standard with a good variety of changing dishes.
Although my wife and I live some distance away and also spend extended periods abroad we are always confident that we will be fully kept up to date with anything we need to know regarding my Mother-In-Law. Her personal bedroom is most acceptable and always kept clean. It has been suggested in the past that we considered moving my relative to somewhere nearer our home but we have never seriously considered this option as we would not like her to have the distress this would obviously cause but as importantly we feel we would struggle to find somewhere of the standard of Meadowbank.
Although the Residential care at Meadowbank is not cheap we understand it is commensurate with other homes in the area. We are very pleased with the support offered by Andrew and his team and would have no hesitation in recommending Meadowbank to anyone requiring care home facilities.
My mother has been a resident of Meadowbank Care Home since September 2015. She has Alzheimer's and is wheelchair bound. Myself and my family have be very happy with her care - I'm always informed of any problems and I am impressed by the level of care and warmth from the staff to all the residents.
We have free access 24 hours a day so there are unlikely to be any secrets. I see from the body language of the residents that they are comfortable with the staff and trust them. The senior staff have been there since before my mother arrived but there have been several changes amongst the other careworkers. However, I can say that all of them are and have been, warm, kind and patient with residents who are often very difficult due to their illnesses. I often see the staff sitting with individual residents when they have a quiet moment and communicating with them, which I think is so important.
