***** Great Company. We were having our en-suite refurbished and it soon became obvious that the trades people we had gone with were out of their depth and one thing after another turned into a disaster, ending them having to leave site. We were lucky to be put in contact with The Painting Partnership and David came along to assess the situation and agreement was made for them to undertake the project.
Darren carried out the installation [ you will not find a better trades person ] and his workmanship together with attention to detail is second to none, very obliging and nothing too much trouble. I had my two bathrooms for years had leak problems. Although these bathroom looks really in good conditions, i was reluctant to ripped it up to refit them. David came along to assess and measured up, and with his many years of experience, he had provided me the confident that they could fix the problem.

Adam came along and in no time located the problem and got the job done swiftly. i am very pleased with the work he done for us, truly professional. After repairing leak problem, he installed new wall panels, new shower tray and new shower screen. He is a very professional, resourceful and hard-working plumber. From the very first contact with David at The Painting Partnership we felt confident we had chosen the right company to redecorate our living/dining room and guest bedroom. David's initial survey was thorough, he asked all the right questions and he was helpful in suggesting options – and not necessarily the most costly ones. The workmanship was of a very high standard and the decorators assigned to us arrived promptly every day and left everything tidy at the end of each day. I wanted to install a small, under stair cabinet and received a quotation from the Painting Partnership for £2,100 which was over my budget. I negotiated to reduce the work and was sent a revised quotation of £1750. However due to an overrun with carpentry and electrical work and doubled material costs, my final bill came to £2550 which was £800 over my budget. I consider that communication especially about the cost increase regarding the project was inadequate & delayed, and despite paying this final bill, I was unhappy with the extra charge.

The work that we proposed was always based on an estimate of the time that would be required.  It was not a quote as there were no precise details of what would be required - and this was very clearly discussed and emailed to you.  In the run up to your actual ordering our services there were 4 emailed revisions of our estimate, each clearly stating it was an estimate and what the cost of a variation would be (£ 396.00) if further time was needed.  Additionally, I wrote an explicit email with the 4th version of the estimate to remind you that the work was an estimate of the time, and this could increase (by the said £ 396.00) depending on your precise specifications at the time our carpenter commenced the work.

 

On commencement, it was confirmed to you by our carpenter at site, and then later (verbally) by me that to meet your precise designs and specifications, the additional time (at £ 396.00) would be needed.  This was not an overrun of the work, this was based on your precise specifications.  Plus, on Day 3, you further engaged our electrician to undertake the work that you had previously had us remove (which added a further £ 96.00).

 

As for the materials cost, the estimates provided at the beginning were just that, estimates.  In fact, the materials required to fulfil your final specification were indeed more costly than anticipated (and this did add £ 308.36).  With our invoice and the complete Statement of Account, we provided copies of all of the receipts for all of the materials, (and actually included some deductions as there were some materials left over).

 

I hope the above clarifies the details and do apologies if there was any confusion - that was never our intention and I am very happy that you are at least, fully satisfied with the actual work that my staff have completed.

Right from the very start I had complete confidence in The Painting Partnership Company. They were recommended to me by a neighbour who were extremely happy with their work. David kept me informed all the way through the transformation of my bathroom into a shower room. The work was carried out by Darren who was so professional and a pleasure to have working in my home. I needed a number of projects to be done at my property, starting with some decorating work. Subsequent work is about carpentry and possibly more other things. David and I agreed a date and time to meet and for him to understand my requirements. First, I found David to be very professional, listening to my requirements, but not just taking them as orders, rather as starting points for conversations to best advise me. Already David suggested more efficient approaches which also meant cost savings to be had. Second, David came back to me in the agreed timeline with quotes for every single projects, which included itemised information for labour and material cost, and details about length of the project, starting date, payment, insurance. I hardly had any questions to ask. Everything was there. I had rarely come across this. Third, so far we proceeded with the decoration work and Darren from his team delivered excellent quality, ensured the process, not just the end result, was clean. 4 years ago Sean did a great job laying floor tiles in a new kitchen. I asked him to return to tile around a fire opening for a new log burner. He carried out a great job on both the tiling inside the fire opening and replastering an entire chimney breast, to ensure the alterations to the wall were disguised. Sean is very conscientious and spends time planning the work to ensure it is carried out to a high standard. If you have tiling or plastering work then Sean is the man! Highly recommended.

Leaking ceiling, with water escaping from a wet room – somewhere! Various plumbers from a large firm had given various explanations but no solutions, and we didn't know where to turn. A query to The Painting Partnership and we'd had the problem looked at, a plan of action and a repair done within days. Adam attended the jobsite to carry out several plumbing repairs. The service was fantastic with the repairs being carried out very professionally and the explanation for why the problems had occurred well explained.

One of the repairs involved the supply of an additional part which was estimated to cost £45/50, I subsequently received a message from Adam that he had researched the internet and sourced the part from another supplier at 60% of the original price.

This honest approach is rare to find within suppliers and indeed the community at large in today's world and is to be applauded.

This was my first time using A Painting Partnership, who cover a wide range of general building and service repairs and I would highly recommend them to address any repairs that you may require within your home.

The project was to remove a broken down shower cabinet and replace with new. Both the removal and replacement were carried our very professionally with minimal disturbance to the rest of the house. There were problems and delays with the supply of the new cabinet. The Painting Partnership sanded and revarnished a wooden garage up and over and side door as well as a rear and kitchen door and matching front panel. External rendering and wooden surrounds were also sanded and painted. The work was done at a reasonable price, to a high standard and looks lovely.

I had a leak in my flat, which was being dealt with by my insurance companies builders.  Unfortunately, they often did not turn up once the drying was completed (this took months), despite assurances they were coming.  On the occasion they would turn up for one day out of five, with little communication for over five months, I was at my wits end.

My flat had been gutted, including the bathroom, hallway, part of the kitchen and second bedroom.  I kept telling myself it would get better, but it didn’t.  In the end, I complained to the insurance company and after interviewing several possible candidates, I met David.  David was honest, and I trusted him, which given my recent experience with builders, was taking a huge leap of faith.

However, in amazement, they turned up, everyday, as per plan, if there were any problems, they would let me know and I was kept abreast of any updates.  The work was done in no time, and after over a year of waiting, my home is finally a home again, instead of a building site.

In particular, I would like to mention Darren, who was such a hard worker, and professional to the core, he really is a credit to your company.  Darren’s pride and standard of work is something I wish all people have.  Thank you for making my home a castle again.

They came to our rescue, when our previously booked decorator was taken ill. The new decorator we hired who at that time was also very busy, then recommended us to use the Painting Partnership who he had worked with many time before, to prepare our hall and stairway ready for painting.  At fairly short notice, they arranged to strip the walls in our up and downstairs hallways and stairway.  Then repair the plasterwork where necessary, before papering all the walls with lining paper, ready for painting. I needed to decorate and have repairs to a property prior to renting out. The Painting Partnership completed all the tasks required from painting through to repairing doors and replacing broken door latches. They even arranged for an electrician to do a safety check on a Saturday, which proved vital as the fuse board fell to pieces! They simply fitted a completely new one the same day.
